Walk for Children’s is a 5k walk event benefiting Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC that brings together community engagement and fundraising to help kids get better. These funds are allocated through the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation for patient services that are generally not covered by insurance companies, but are essential to the overall experience of young patients- music therapy, medical-free playrooms, visits from trained art therapists and patient visitation dogs.
The Alcoa Pittsburgh Federal Credit Union will be on the CU4Kids Team this year as a way to give back to the community and really make a difference in the lives of our youth. We please ask that if you are interested and able, attend the Walk for Children’s event on June 3, 2017.
If you are unable to get a team together, you can also donate directly to the walk! We will have small donation boxes set up in our office if you are interested in making monetary donations to this wonderful cause; no matter how big or small it is truly appreciated. Any donations can be made by cash or check.
To Register for the Walk:
- Go to fundraise.givetochildrens.org/walk and either join or create your own!
- Event participants are encouraged to fundraise in the weeks leading up to the event.
