EFFECTIVE JUNE 8, 2020

Access to the credit union will be available during regular business hours Monday through Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm.  You MUST make an appointment in order to limit the number of members in the office at one time.  In order to promote social distancing, we ask that if there is a member in the office, please wait in the building lobby until that member leaves the credit union office.

Members MUST wear a mask until further notice.

Please use the following 24/7 Access Services when possible:

UPDATE APRIL 20, 2020

All members coming into the credit union will be required to wear a face mask before entering our locations.  Members not wearing masks will not be permitted entry.

We are also asking that only 1 person (unless family members) to be in the lobby at any time, additional members are asked to please wait in the building lobby outside our doors until someone finishes.

EFFECTIVE APRIL 6, 2020

Access to the credit union will be available for CRITICAL BUSINESS NEEDS ONLY from 9:00 am to 2:00pm Tuesdays and Thursdays starting on Monday, April 6, 2020.  Note that we are discouraging ANY entry to the credit union. Allowing individuals in – even if they are asymptomatic – poses a risk that the virus may be introduced to the Credit Union.

For a CRITICAL business need that cannot be completed by the 24/7 access service listed above, please send a written request for an appointment.  Requests should be sent 24 hours in advance to allow for review and approval. Approval is required prior to arrival. Please include the following information in your request:

  1. What does Governor Wolf’s executive “stay at home” order mean to Alcoa Pittsburgh FCU and its daily operations?

Banks and credit unions fall into the category of “essential services”.  That is why we are prepared to continue providing for your daily financial needs such as savings and checking as well as your short and longer-term goals supported by our extensive lending and credit programs, among all our other services.  While the current environment has caused Alcoa Pittsburgh FCU to deploy the majority of our employees to work from home.  We are operating as close to business as usual as we can.

  1. Is my money safe at Alcoa Pittsburgh FCU?

Yes. The safety and soundness of your financial assets is a top priority at Alcoa Pittsburgh FCU.

The Credit Union manages capital and liquidity conservatively.  In times of market volatility and uncertainty, we significantly boost our cash reserves.  All member deposits are federally by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), our equivalent of FDIC at the banks.

 

  1. With travel restrictions and social distancing in place, how do I best access my accounts at Alcoa Pittsburgh FCU?

We are here with multiple other access options for you and your accounts during this time of restricted physical access to branches.

The current situation is dynamic and if the credit union needs to issue any access updates for members, we will do so through our typical communications including, but not limited to, our website and/or email.

 

  1. I am experiencing financial challenges – how can you help me?

If you need additional financial support or alternatives for your loan payments, please contact the credit union through any of the access channels listed.

 

  1. I called about my mortgage. When will I hear back from someone?

Due to the low rate environment combined with the reduced staff, we are operating on a 48-hour callback schedule.  Thank you for your patience.

 

  1. Is the Alcoa Pittsburgh FCU office open?

Currently our office is operating on normal business hours; however, we may need to revise our office hours and advise all members to sign up for ATM/Debit Card access and online banking access.

 

  1. How do I deposit a check if I do not have access to the office?

 

  1. How will I know if the office will close or change hours?

We will alert members if our office hours change via email, Facebook, LinkedIn and/or alerts at alcoapittfcu.org.  You may also call (412) 553-3100 for information.

 

  1. What are you doing at the office to keep members and your own employees protected from the spread of Coronavirus?

We are adhering to prudent health and hygiene guidelines.  Many employees are either working from home or preparing to work from home if needed.  We are fully committed to continuing to provide premium financials services and support during these challenging times.

 

  1. What are the usage limits on my Alcoa Pittsburgh FCU debit card?

The daily limit is $5,000 for point-of-sale purchases and $1,500 for ATM withdrawals.
