Share Accounts

Everyone who wishes to become a member, must open a share (savings) account. 

In order to open an account:

  • You must be in Alcoa Pittsburgh FCU's field of membership;
  • You must complete a membership application;
  • A minimum deposit of $5.00 is required to open the account;
  • You must provide proof of identification (i.e. driver's license)

The $5.00 is not a fee to join the credit union.  It is an initial deposit in order to open the account.  The Credit Union does not have a fee to become a member.

A share account does not require the holder to maintain a minimum balance greater than the par value of one share (currently $5.00) or to give notice of intent to withdraw funds.
